Our team of 24 professionals from the neurology service, together with the KMSxELA initiative, successfully met the challenge of running for 24 hours in the '24-hour Ultradistance' relay race to raise funds for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) research.
The center, along with the Amics de l'Hospital del Mar Foundation and in collaboration with the Mémora Foundation, has organized a reflection day on music therapy for the International Day of Music.
Hospital del Mar offers up to five programs that use music therapy to enhance patients' stay and well-being. These initiatives are part of the center's strategy for humanizing care.
We encourage everyone worldwide to join the ALS cause by supporting it with their contributions to professionals in their fight against a disease that challenges hope.

The Marina WalkTrail has once again surpassed its participation record. In its ninth edition, the charity Nordic walking event organized by the Friends of Hospital del Mar Foundation, which this time, for the first time, had the support of the Pasqual Maragall Foundation, mobilized over 700 people. They hiked through the Sierra de la Marina in Santa Coloma de Gramenet with a charitable purpose: to raise funds for Alzheimer's and other dementias research conducted by researchers from the Hospital del Mar Research Institute and the Brain Research Center of the Pasqual Maragall Foundation.
This is made possible through the agreement signed between the Fundació Amics de l'Hospital del Mar and the company Laboratorio Reig Jofre. The goal is to bring this type of therapy to individuals admitted to the sub-acute mental health unit at the Centre Fòrum, providing them with a space to work on aspects of emotional well-being and socialization.

To contribute to Alzheimer's research, the Amics de l'Hospital de Mar Foundation, the Hospital del Mar Research Institute, and the Pasqual Maragall Foundation are hosting the 9th edition of the Marina WalkTrail Nordic Walking.
