2025 REPORT: we supported 17,658 patients and families and enabled 2,333 hours of research

This is the impact made possible by the support of individuals, companies and organisations connected to Hospital del Mar during 2025.

Thanks to their commitment, we supported 17,658 patients and families and enabled 2,333 hours of biomedical research, particularly in the field of brain diseases.

In total, we raised €426,405 with the help of 1,423 donors, a growing community committed to improving people's health and wellbeing.

Improving people's wellbeing

In 2025, we promoted projects focused on humanising care and enhancing the patient experience.

Programmes such as music therapy, reaching nearly 2,800 patients and families, and initiatives like the therapeutic garden in mental health help reduce stress, improve emotional wellbeing and support recovery.

We also continued developing programmes such as "A Breath for Cancer", which supports people undergoing cancer treatment through therapeutic activities and emotional care.

New projects to advance healthcare

This year, we launched initiatives such as the TEA Space, a specialised care programme for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder and their families, aimed at improving social and emotional skills, autonomy and family support.

We also contributed to improving hospital environments, making them more comfortable, welcoming and adapted to patients' needs.

Driving biomedical research

Research remains one of our core priorities. Thanks to donor support, we have been able to invest in advancing research-particularly in brain diseases-helping generate knowledge and new therapeutic opportunities.

A growing community

2025 was also a year of growth for our community, with more than 600 new supporters joining our mission.

Every contribution-big or small-makes a difference and helps us move towards more human, innovative and people-centred healthcare.
