Barcelona pedals for research and nears €9,000 in the Cycling Solidarity event

This Saturday, March 28, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Moll de la Marina hosted the Cycling Solidarity event, bringing together hundreds of people to support research into brain diseases.

Thanks to strong public participation, more than €8,330 has been raised - a figure that is already close to €9,000 - and will be allocated to research projects at the Hospital del Mar Research Institute.

The Dorsal Zero fundraising campaign remains open until mid-April, with the goal of surpassing this amount and continuing to boost neuroscience research.

Throughout the event, the Friends of Hospital del Mar Foundation was present with an information stand to raise awareness about the importance of neuroscience research and to share its work with the public.

Notably, healthcare professionals from Hospital del Mar also took part, with two teams of neurologists cycling in relay for six hours. Verónica Hidalgo, Head of Nursing for Neurology and Neurosurgery, also joined the first session of the day (from 8 to 9 a.m.), cycling alongside the professional instructors who energized and guided participants.

A day that shows how every kilometer and every donation helps move research forward.
