1,765 thanks to the ‘Athletes for Hospital del Mar’ for participating in the 2024 edition of BCN Salut Games
Many thanks to our colleagues at Hospital del Mar for their participation in this new edition of BCN Salut Games, the solidarity Olympics of the health and research sector. The funds raised amounted to €1,765, which will be allocated to charitable projects through the Friends of Hospital del Mar Foundation.
The participation of all athletes from Hospital del Mar has allowed the center to achieve third place in the 2024 edition, behind Hospital Clínic and Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau. Our center remains on the podium, after the absolute victory in 2023.
In this edition, the victories of two teams in the Humor Amarillo event stand out, where they also obtained a bronze, a fourth, and a fifth place. There was also a victory in women's running, with the gold won by Bárbara Vallejos for the second consecutive year. Additionally, silver was achieved by teams in bowling, futsal, beach volleyball, and in zumba, by Francesca Garcia. The two fifth places in Nordic walking, in the speed category, and in nature challenges also stand out.
As a socially responsible institution, we are fully committed to the care and promotion of the health of our professionals (SDG 3 Health and Well-being). In this regard, we have received great support and good results in most of the sports events.
