Dr. Bernat Bertran wins the Migranodearena award for his charitable project KMxl'ELA

Dr. Bernat Bertran, Senior Physician at the Neurology Service, has won the Migranodearena award in the 'Most Charitable Person' category. This is thanks to his project '24 Hours Running for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis', which received 1,182 votes.

Dr. Bertran's initiative has prevailed over fourteen other candidates, among which the most charitable one was chosen through popular vote. In total, nearly 15,000 votes were cast across all award categories (Most Charitable Person, Most Active NGO, and Most Committed Company) in this edition of the awards. Dr. Mila Montero, Senior Physician at the Infectious Diseases Service, was also a finalist, securing fifth place in the Most Charitable Person category for the campaign 'Esportistes per l'Hospital del Mar' during the Zurich Barcelona Marathon in 2022.

The awards, which recognize the best charitable challenges created on the Migranodearena platform in 2022, will be presented on November 23. The prize money will be directed to the Amics de l'Hospital del Mar Foundation to support the care of ALS patients.

Dr. Bertran's project raised over 3,000 euros through a challenge in which charitable athletes committed to running for an entire day.
