To contribute to Alzheimer's research, the Amics de l'Hospital de Mar Foundation, the Hospital del Mar Research Institute, and the Pasqual Maragall Foundation are hosting the 9th edition of the Marina WalkTrail Nordic Walking.

We offer different distances for various levels (5 km and 10 km):

FAMILY CIRCUIT - 5 km route visiting the Monastery of Sant Jeroni de la Murtra.

POPULAR CIRCUIT - 10 km route (+300 m elevation) enjoying the views of the Montigalà Cross (optional).

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

The trail will take place on Sunday, October 8, 2023, in the Serralada Marina at 10:00 AM. The starting and finishing point is the Torribera venue, metro L9N . Free parking is available. (*IMPORTANT NOTE: you must request validation of your parking ticket when you collect your registration)

Schedule for participants in the 10 km trail:

9:00 AM: Registration and distribution of walking poles

9:30 AM: Warm-up session and Nordic walking class

10:00 AM: Start of the 10 km trail, with the option to visit the Montigalà Cross (+2 km)

Schedule for participants in the 5 km trail:

9:30 AM: Registration and distribution of walking poles

10:00 AM: Warm-up session and Nordic walking class

10:30 AM: Start of the 5 km trail

2:00 PM: End of the event

From 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM, beverages and snacks will be served.

There will be a refreshment point along the trail.

Participants in the 5 km trail have the option to take a guided tour of the Monastery of Sant Jeroni de la Murtra.

Items to bring:

ID card or identification document (especially if you want to borrow Nordic walking poles)

Sunscreen, hat, and/or other sun protection

Comfortable footwear and clothing suitable for the weather conditions of the day
