Anna Escribano, CEO of Rafesa: "With an illness, you become very vulnerable, you need this respite."
"I started collaborating on a personal level, but I saw that I could go much further by adding my company's support," explains Anna Escribano, CEO of Rafesa.
In fact, Anna has been a friend of the Hospital del Mar for some time. Recently, she proposed expanding her collaboration with the program for accompanying oncology patients, "A respite from Cancer": "When you have an illness, you become very vulnerable, and the activities to provide this support to patients are crucial. You need this respite, this support."
Furthermore, Anna Escribano wanted to extend her contribution by involving her company and thus funding more hours of cancer research. She explains it this way: "We cannot forget about research. We see how it evolves and how diseases can be focused on and treated nowadays, and that takes many hours. I am confident that with more hours of research, we can achieve much more."
